Your 7-Step Acclimation Guide

1

Check Your Tank

Ensure your tank is fully cycled, has enough space, and all parameters (Temp, pH, TDS) match the shrimp's needs.

2

Check Tank Mates

Confirm that new livestock is compatible with all existing fish and invertebrates in terms of temperament and size.

3

Feed Existing Fish

If you have other fish, feeding them before releasing the new shrimp can reduce aggression and curiosity.

4

Float the Bag

Float the sealed transport bag in your aquarium for 15-20 minutes to equalize the temperature.

5

Drip Acclimate

Slowly add small amounts of your tank water to the bag over 30-60 minutes to acclimate them to the pH and TDS.

6

Net and Release

Gently net the shrimp from the bag and release them into the tank. **Do not add the bag water to your aquarium.**

7

Wait to Feed

Do not feed the new shrimp for 24 hours. They need time to settle in. Be aware they may look pale for 3-7 days, which is normal.
