Dosing Instructions:

Beginner:

• Dissolve 3 grams (1/2 level teaspoon) of Reef Builder™ in at least 250 mL (1 cup) of freshwater.
• Add this solution to 150 L of aquarium water twice a week.
• Monitor alkalinity every two weeks and adjust dosing as needed.

Advanced:

• Test alkalinity using a reliable test kit before dosing.
• Each 3 grams per 150 L raises alkalinity by approximately 0.25 meq/L (0.7 dKH).
• Adjust dosage or frequency based on alkalinity needs, not exceeding 12 grams per 150 L per day.

Expert (Continuous Drip Method):

• Determine your reef aquarium’s alkalinity consumption rate.
• Use the formula: m = 0.08 × v × a
  • m = grams of Reef Builder™ to add to top-off water
  • v = total tank volume in liters
  • a = desired alkalinity increase in meq/L
• Example: To raise alkalinity by 1 meq/L in a 200 L tank, add 16 grams of Reef Builder™ to the top-off water.

Usage Tips:

✅ Do not overdose, as excessive alkalinity can reduce calcium, magnesium, and strontium availability.
✅ Do not mix directly with calcium, magnesium, or strontium supplements. Dose them at least 30 minutes apart or on alternate days.
