Lampeye Tetra

Bright red eyes and a peaceful active nature make the Lampeye an ideal community fish. They like plenty of open swimming space, tending to school in the top half of the aquarium. They also grow slightly larger than most of the more commonly kept tetras, reaching 6-7cm.

Size: from 3 cm

This fish is also a good choice as a beginner fish. Water conditions fluctuate wildly in its natural habitat, so this fish can tolerate in wide range of differences and changes.

The Lampeye tetra should ideally be housed in a 80 litre or larger aquarium.
