Downoi (Pogostemon helferi) is a relatively newly cultivated stem plant that has recently developed some notice in the aquarium hobby. Native to Thailand, it is distinctive due to its rosette shape and wavy green leaves. Under high lighting, it will maintain this attractive shape and will be a superb foreground plant. It can even be attached to driftwood and rocks in the aquarium!

Pogostemon Helferi is a very uncommon plant with ornamented leaves, which is comparatively small. It has bright green coloring that naturally completes its structure.

Pogostemon helferi has curly leaves which noticeably stand out against neighboring tank plants. In a tank Pogostemon helferi bush grows not larger than 10 cm high and 5-10 cm wide. Provided with favorable conditions the plant demonstrates medium growth rate.
