This is a freshwater planted-aquarium framework. Exact equipment, water targets and stocking choices depend on the tank, tap water and species you plan to keep.
Tanks are pickup only. Measure the space, allow room for equipment and use a level stand that can safely support the filled aquarium. Keep the tank away from direct sun and unstable heat.
Choose your tank →Plan equipment before hardscape. Match filtration to tank volume and planned stocking. Choose lighting for the plants you want; add a heater only when livestock needs a stable tropical temperature.
Explore filtration →Dry-build before adding water. Rinse the empty tank with water only — never soap. Add soil or sand, then secure stone and driftwood before filling. Keep heavy pieces stable and away from unsupported glass edges.
Shop substrate →Plants can go in during cycling. Plant from foreground to background while the substrate is damp. Fill gently to protect the layout, treat tap water with a suitable conditioner, then start the filter and heater if required.
Choose aquatic plants →Use test results, not a fixed number of days. Keep the filter running continuously and test the water. Do not add livestock just because the water looks clear — confirm ammonia and nitrite are at safe levels before stocking.
Explore water care →Livestock is not part of this offer. Once the aquarium is cycled, introduce compatible fish or shrimp in stages, acclimate them carefully and keep monitoring water quality. Avoid fully stocking a new system at once.
Read acclimation guidance →Condition tap water, run the filter continuously and use water tests to confirm the aquarium is ready. Ammonia and nitrite must be at safe levels before fish or shrimp are introduced; stock gradually and continue monitoring.
Shop water care →Our aquarium team can help you choose the right tank, filtration, light, substrate, plants and water-care products for the setup you want.
This selection introduces a few popular aquascaping approaches — inspiration, not a catalogue of every style. Mix, adapt or explore any direction that suits your space and maintenance routine.
Layered plants, irregular stone placement and a softer overgrown composition.
A disciplined rock composition, low carpeting plants and generous open space create a calm landscape.
Choose the tank, plants and setup essentials that work together, then follow the roadmap to build with confidence from day one.

Offer ends 15 September 2026. Available on participating tanks, all aquatic plants and selected setup essentials. Plant bundles, Bundle Deals and livestock are not included.

These are the setup questions worth answering before livestock enters the tank.
Plan the tank. Build the system in order. Let the aquarium mature instead of rushing to the final picture.
