✅Aphyosemion are a very peaceful species of fish that prefer to be kept in pairs. Regular water changes are required but they are very easy to keep happy.
✅ Killifish Care
The most difficult part of killifish care is maintaining a subtle balance of low water flow and cleanliness. If you do not use a filter, make a 50% water change every few days. If you are using a filter, spread the flow with a garnish or plant in front of the filter. With or without a filter, make sure you have plenty of plants on hand to absorb harmful ammonia and nitrates. Floating plants serve more properly to help keep your tank clean. Clown killi love to swim through floating plants’ leaves and rely on them to reproduce because they act as spawning mats.
If water conditions are compromised at any time, the chances of fish diseases will increase. Although clown killifish are very hardy, they are very small, so you may want to be careful in looking for signs of illness or disease.
Killifish can be a bit picky about which foods they will accept. Most will accept quality flake or small granules but they do need live or frozen foods in the form of blood worms, grindal worms and black worms.
✅More information:
The expected life span for Splendid killifish is 3-5 years.
Add spawning mops or Java moss to the tank and these will be used for the eggs to be deposited on. Once spawning is complete, the medium can be moved to either another tank or a small container. The medium is placed on a layer of peat and when the eyes of the fry are visible the eggs are placed back into water for hatching.

However, the shrimp and fish you receive may be discolored and the reason of this issue is strong vibration during transportation and they're not be fed during the transport period
To handle this problem we highly recommend to you:
🚩Let the fish relax helps them adapt to any changes in water temperature in the tank. Also prevents pH shock - an imbalance between the water in the shop tank and your tank.
🚩Place the fish bag in a cool, corner, and dark place. Prevent the bag from being bumped, slipped, or dropped. This'll give your new fish a good recovery and acclimatization after a shaky ride from the shop to your home.
🚩Feed your old fish first to distract them, preventing them from bullying your new fish.
🚩Your new aquarium tank should have a pH of zero ammonia and chlorine before adding new fish.
🚩Turn off the lights, reduce the glare in the room, or limit the light entering the aquarium. This will help the new fish not be stressed.
