At Micro Aquatic Shop, we care about the safe and fast delivery of your aquarium fish, shrimp, plants, and aquascaping products. Below is our detailed shipping policy to ensure clarity, transparency, and customer confidence when shopping with us.
Shipping Options
We currently provide several shipping methods depending on the type of items in your order:

Standard Shipping (Plants & Dry Goods Only)

Applies only to aquarium plants, aquascaping tools, and small items.

Transit time: 2–5 business days.

Cost: from $35 AUD (may vary depending on weight and distance).

Express Shipping (General Orders)

Recommended for most aquarium products, including fish food, aquascaping supplies, and equipment.

Handling time: 1–2 business days (Mon–Wed).

Transit time: 1–2 business days.

Cost: $35–$40 AUD (depending on parcel size/weight).

Livestock Shipping (Fish, Shrimp, Snails, Plants)

Shipped via Toll Overnight Express for the health and safety of your livestock.

Shipping only from Monday to Wednesday to avoid weekend delays.

Delivery expected next business day after dispatch.

Cost: $40–$45 AUD (depending on your location).

⚠️ Please note: We cannot ship live fish, shrimp, or snails to Western Australia, Northern Territory, or Tasmania due to strict quarantine and biosecurity regulations.
Shipping Schedule

Monday – Tuesday: Priority given to live fish, shrimp, and snails.

Wednesday: Plants and remaining aquarium items.

Thursday – Sunday: No livestock shipments to ensure animals do not remain in courier depots over weekends.
Shipping Costs & Promotions
We understand shipping livestock and aquarium goods can be costly. To give you better value:

Orders over a certain value may receive free bonus plants.

Occasionally, seasonal promotions may apply – check our website or newsletter for updates.
Typical shipping costs range:

$35–$40 AUD for plants, small goods, or regular orders.

$40–$45 AUD for livestock orders requiring Toll Overnight service.
Tracking & Communication

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with tracking details (link + estimated delivery time).

You can track your parcel directly via the courier’s website (Toll, Aramex, AusPost).

When Customers Are Not Available at Delivery
If you are not home at the time of delivery:

Couriers may leave the package in a safe place (if available).

If delivery cannot be completed, the parcel may be returned to the depot. In such cases, customers are responsible for contacting the courier (Toll, Aramex, or AusPost) to arrange redelivery or pickup.

Micro Aquatic Shop is not liable for delays or additional costs if delivery was unsuccessful due to customer unavailability.
How We Pack Livestock
To ensure your fish, shrimp, snails, or aquatic plants arrive healthy and stress-free:

Fish/shrimp are packed with sufficient oxygen and water.

Shrimp are provided with a small mesh for comfort during transit.

Bags are wrapped with bubble wrap and placed inside a foam box for insulation.
-
Foam box is sealed inside a courier parcel bag with multiple fragile stickers.
Change of Address
If your order has not yet shipped, you may update your delivery address by emailing cs@microaquaticshop.com.au. Once dispatched, address changes are no longer guaranteed.
