How to Plant an Aquarium Plant in Freshwater?
Planting an aquarium is a great way to add colour and life to your tank. It's also a good way for beginners to get their feet wet with the hobby. But, it can be not easy if you don't know what you're doing! That's why we created this guide on how to plant aquarium plants for beginners. In this aquarium Plant Care for Beginners guide, we'll show you everything from selecting the correct type of plant, growing it correctly in your tank, and maintaining it after it's been planted.
The first step is to find a pot or container that will fit snugly into your aquarium without any overhanging edges. Then, fill it up with water until it reaches about 1/3 of the way up the sides of the pot or container - this is where we'll place our plant later on. Next, take some rock wool (pre-cut) and squeeze one end so that all its fibres come together like spaghetti noodles; then pull them apart again, so they're nice and fluffy - this is what we'll use to hold our roots down once we've planted them into our new home! Now comes time to remove any excess dirt off of your plant before planting it by using either finger, tweezers, or even a fork if need be (don't damage any roots!). Once clean, put some rock wool around each root ball - just enough to cover them but not too much as this could cause suffocation when submerged underwater! Clean off left debris; now, you are ready to plant the plant.
