Maintaining your Aquael Ultramax Canister Filter requires the correct spare parts to ensure optimal performance. One crucial component is the Check Valve In and Check Valve Out, which regulate water flow and maintain system efficiency.
Before purchasing a replacement check valve, it is essential to determine the year your Ultramax Canister Filter was manufactured. Pre-2021 models and Post-2021 models require different in and out check valves, and using the incorrect part may lead to incompatibility issues.
To ensure you select the right replacement part, please compare the Aquael Codes and Aqua Premium Codes provided below. Additionally, refer to the website images for further clarification on the correct part for your filter.
If your Ultramax filter was purchased before 2021, use the following spare parts:
Aquael Check Valve In – Ultramax 1000 / 1500 / 2000 (Pre-2021 Model)
Aquael Check Valve Out – Ultramax 1000 / 1500 / 2000 (Pre-2021 Model)
For Ultramax filters purchased from 2021 onwards, the following check valves apply:
Aquael Check Valve In – Ultramax 1000 / 1500 (Post-2021 Model)
Aquael Check Valve Out – Ultramax 1000 / 1500 (Post-2021 Model)
Aquael Check Valve In – Ultramax 2000 (Post-2021 Model)
Aquael Check Valve Out – Ultramax 2000 (Post-2021 Model)
To avoid ordering the incorrect part, we strongly recommend:
✔️ Verifying your filter’s purchase year before ordering.
✔️ Comparing your existing check valve with the product images on the website.
✔️ Matching the correct Aquael and Aqua Premium codes to your specific model.
If you are unsure about your filter’s model compatibility, please consult the website images for further clarification.

However, the shrimp and fish you receive may be discolored and the reason of this issue is strong vibration during transportation and they're not be fed during the transport period
To handle this problem we highly recommend to you:
🚩Let the fish relax helps them adapt to any changes in water temperature in the tank. Also prevents pH shock - an imbalance between the water in the shop tank and your tank.
🚩Place the fish bag in a cool, corner, and dark place. Prevent the bag from being bumped, slipped, or dropped. This'll give your new fish a good recovery and acclimatization after a shaky ride from the shop to your home.
🚩Feed your old fish first to distract them, preventing them from bullying your new fish.
🚩Your new aquarium tank should have a pH of zero ammonia and chlorine before adding new fish.
🚩Turn off the lights, reduce the glare in the room, or limit the light entering the aquarium. This will help the new fish not be stressed.

Arrived in excellent condition and great addition to my tanks.
I’m a many times repeat customer here. As always, these were a perfectly healthy group of animals. I am always blown away by how little stress they seem to experience, adjusting to my tanks immediately. Will be back again!
