Black Ruby Barb is a striking freshwater schooling fish known for its deep, dark body coloration and beautiful ruby-red tones that become more vibrant as the fish matures. Males typically develop especially intense red colouring, creating a stunning contrast against planted aquarium backgrounds.

Active, peaceful and hardy, Black Ruby Barbs are an excellent choice for community and planted aquariums. They are best kept in a group, where they feel more confident and display their natural schooling behaviour.
