Caridina Shrimp – Red Wine 1cm

Add a rich splash of colour to your freshwater aquarium with the beautiful Red Wine Caridina Shrimp! Featuring deep red wine-inspired tones, these eye-catching ornamental shrimp are a wonderful choice for shrimp enthusiasts looking to add something special to a planted aquarium.

Key Features:

• Size: Approximately 1cm

• Colour: Deep red wine tones

• Temperament: Peaceful

• Diet: Biofilm, algae, and specialised shrimp foods

• Care Level: Moderate to advanced

Care Requirements:

Red Wine Caridina Shrimp thrive in clean, stable water conditions and are best suited to a mature, well-established aquarium. They generally prefer soft, slightly acidic water and benefit from a planted environment with moss, driftwood, and plenty of natural grazing surfaces.

Maintain consistent water parameters and avoid sudden changes, as Caridina shrimp can be sensitive to fluctuations. A gentle sponge filter or a shrimp-safe pre-filter is recommended to help protect these small shrimp.

Important Note:

At approximately 1cm, these shrimp are still small and require careful acclimation. We recommend drip acclimation and introducing them into a fully cycled aquarium with stable water conditions. Avoid housing them with fish that may prey on shrimp.

The Red Wine Caridina Shrimp is a stunning addition to a dedicated shrimp aquarium, bringing beautiful colour and fascinating behaviour to your underwater world!
