These shrimp are excellent for beginners due to their hardiness and amazing coloration. They are one of the most resilient species we keep in our shrimp room.
Cherry Shrimp is a color variant of the Neocaridina Davidi species. While little is known about the exact origins of this variant, they are rapidly gaining popularity in the dwarf shrimp hobby for their stunning colors and ease of care. Their requirements are very similar to Red Cherry Shrimp, and they breed just as easily.
As freshwater shrimp, they can thrive in almost any freshwater aquarium due to their extremely adaptable nature. They are perfect for planted tanks and community tanks. Many hobbyists use them in larger aquariums for waste management and algae control. They breed quickly, forming a colony that acts as an effective cleaning crew while enhancing the tank with beautiful colors.
