Eusteralis Stellata
Description & care
Eusteralis Stellata – Aquarium Plant
Eusteralis Stellata (Pogostemon stellatus) is a beautiful stem plant that adds colour, texture and height to a planted aquarium. Its long, narrow leaves grow in dense whorls around the stem, creating an attractive star-shaped appearance.
With good lighting, nutrients and CO₂, the foliage can develop vibrant green, pink, purple or reddish tones, making it an excellent choice for the background or midground of a planted tank.
Care Requirements:
- 🌱 Type: Stem plant
- 💡 Lighting: Medium to high
- 💨 CO₂: Recommended for best growth and colour
- 💧 Difficulty: Moderate
- 📍 Placement: Background / midground
- ✂️ Propagation: Cuttings – trim healthy stems and replant the tops
Regular trimming encourages bushier growth and helps maintain a compact, attractive appearance.
