The Leopard Danio is a colour variation of the Zebra Danio which is found in lower reaches of streams, canals, ditches, and ponds in Asia from Pakistan to India and as far as Myanmar.
The Leopard Danio is every bit as active and hardy as the Zebra Danio, making it a great fish for the beginning aquarist or any other fish keeper.
Since they are omnivorous, these fish will eat most any prepared or live aquarium food, though the food does need to float at the surface. They especially enjoy chasing after frozen bloodworms or live black worms. These fish will do best when offered food several times a day, but offer what they can eat in 3 minutes or less at each feeding. If you feed only once per day, provide what they can eat in about 5 minutes.
The Gold Zebra Danio is fairly hardy and will adapt to most aquarium conditions. This schooling species will spend most of the time in the top and middle regions, particularly if there is open water or water current. Though a school of danios can be kept in a smaller aquarium, they will do best in about a 60 litre or larger size aquarium. Provide good filtration and keep the tank covered to prevent jumps.
✅ This is an ideal fish for a nano aquarium setup. While each individual is beautiful, the cumulative efffect of a large group adds to this display.
✅ This species is very peaceful but does not make an ideal community fish due to its small size and rather timid nature. It will do best when maintained alone or with other diminutive species such as Microdevario, Sundadanio, Danionella, Eirmotus, Trigonostigma, pygmy Corydoras and small Loricariids such as Otocinclus.

However, the shrimp and fish you receive may be discolored and the reason of this issue is strong vibration during transportation and they're not be fed during the transport period
To handle this problem we highly recommend to you:
🚩Let the fish relax helps them adapt to any changes in water temperature in the tank. Also prevents pH shock - an imbalance between the water in the shop tank and your tank.
🚩Place the fish bag in a cool, corner, and dark place. Prevent the bag from being bumped, slipped, or dropped. This'll give your new fish a good recovery and acclimatization after a shaky ride from the shop to your home.
🚩Feed your old fish first to distract them, preventing them from bullying your new fish.
🚩Your new aquarium tank should have a pH of zero ammonia and chlorine before adding new fish.
🚩Turn off the lights, reduce the glare in the room, or limit the light entering the aquarium. This will help the new fish not be stressed.
