JBL Test Kit - Silicate (SiO2)
Accurately measure silicate levels in your aquarium with the JBL Test Kit - Silicate (SiO2).
Silicate is a naturally occurring compound that can accumulate in aquarium water, particularly in tanks with a high bioload or those using sand or gravel substrates.
Why Test for Silicate?
Diatom Blooms: High silicate levels can contribute to unsightly diatom blooms, resulting in a brownish-green film on aquarium surfaces.
Plant Growth: While essential in small amounts, excessive silicate can inhibit the growth of some delicate aquatic plants.
Maintaining Water Quality: Regular testing allows you to monitor silicate levels and take corrective action to prevent potential problems.
Key Features:
Easy-to-Read Color Chart: Provides accurate and reliable results with a clear and easy-to-follow color chart.
Precise Measurements: Enables you to measure silicate levels with high accuracy.
Compact and Convenient: Small and portable for easy storage and use.

However, the shrimp and fish you receive may be discolored and the reason of this issue is strong vibration during transportation and they're not be fed during the transport period
To handle this problem we highly recommend to you:
🚩Let the fish relax helps them adapt to any changes in water temperature in the tank. Also prevents pH shock - an imbalance between the water in the shop tank and your tank.
🚩Place the fish bag in a cool, corner, and dark place. Prevent the bag from being bumped, slipped, or dropped. This'll give your new fish a good recovery and acclimatization after a shaky ride from the shop to your home.
🚩Feed your old fish first to distract them, preventing them from bullying your new fish.
🚩Your new aquarium tank should have a pH of zero ammonia and chlorine before adding new fish.
🚩Turn off the lights, reduce the glare in the room, or limit the light entering the aquarium. This will help the new fish not be stressed.

I’m a many times repeat customer here. As always, these were a perfectly healthy group of animals. I am always blown away by how little stress they seem to experience, adjusting to my tanks immediately. Will be back again!
