Kuhli Loach - Pygmy Tiger 5-6cm

Kuhli Loach – Pygmy Tiger (Pangio sp.)

The Pygmy Tiger Kuhli Loach is a small, peaceful bottom-dwelling fish admired for its slender body and attractive tiger-like banding. Smaller than the common Kuhli Loach, this fascinating species is perfect for nano community aquariums and spends much of its time exploring the substrate, leaf litter, and hiding places.

These social loaches thrive in groups of six or more and are most active during the evening. Their gentle nature makes them excellent companions for shrimp, rasboras, tetras, and other peaceful nano fish. A well-planted aquarium with soft sand, driftwood, caves, and plenty of hiding spots will help them feel secure and encourage natural behaviour.
