This plant is one of the best-looking floating plants for the aquarium and it propagates quickly. Red Root Floater (Phyllanthus fluitans) is a South American floating plant that is known and highly desired for its bright red roots and underside. Under high lighting, its leaves can turn completely red! Micro Aquatic Shop🌿🌿
Care is extremely easy for Red Root Floater. It can thrive in a relatively wide pH range as well as low to high lighting. Its only major-specific requirement is that it reportedly does not do well with a high level of surface agitation. It is best kept in an aquarium with gentle water flow. Under these simple conditions, it will multiply very quickly and provide significant denitrification as well as oxygenation, which is particularly important in aquariums with low water flow. It does not require CO2 supplementation.
Like most plants, Red Root Floater will benefit from supplementation such as Seachem Flourish, Flourish Excel, nitrogen, iron, and other plant supplements.

However, the shrimp and fish you receive may be discolored and the reason of this issue is strong vibration during transportation and they're not be fed during the transport period
To handle this problem we highly recommend to you:
🚩Let the fish relax helps them adapt to any changes in water temperature in the tank. Also prevents pH shock - an imbalance between the water in the shop tank and your tank.
🚩Place the fish bag in a cool, corner, and dark place. Prevent the bag from being bumped, slipped, or dropped. This'll give your new fish a good recovery and acclimatization after a shaky ride from the shop to your home.
🚩Feed your old fish first to distract them, preventing them from bullying your new fish.
🚩Your new aquarium tank should have a pH of zero ammonia and chlorine before adding new fish.
🚩Turn off the lights, reduce the glare in the room, or limit the light entering the aquarium. This will help the new fish not be stressed.
Arrived quickly and in great condition. Makes my tank look much more lively and natural and is great coverage/hiding spot for the fish.
My cherry shrimp love this
Unfortunately half of what I got was unsalvageable but there was enough left that I now have a booming population after a month! Such easy plants, they grow like crazy! Definitely one of my favourite plants :)
