š How to Acclimate Your Livestock
š Use a Quarantine Tank (Highly Recommended)
- Prepare a 10ā20 gallon tank.
- Install filter and heater (25ā28°C recommended).
- Use water from your main tank, cycle it, and test parameters.
- Monitor the new livestock for 7ā14 days before transferring.
ā 1. Floating Method
- Turn off aquarium lights, dim room lights.
- Float the sealed bag in the tank for 15ā30 minutes.
- Cut the bag and slowly add tank water every 4 minutes.
- Discard half the water, float again, repeat water addition.
- Gently release fish into the tank.
ā 2. Drip Method (For Sensitive Species)
- Float bag and transfer fish to a clean bucket.
- Set up a siphon drip using airline tubing.
- Discard half the water after volume doubles.
- Gently transfer to main tank.
ā ļø Before Adding Livestock to Main Tank
- Ensure your tank is fully cycled.
- Check species compatibility.
- Verify water parameters and habitat match the livestock needs.
- Introduce fish graduallyāavoid sudden overstocking.
- Donāt feed new arrivals for the first 24 hours.
- Color fading or lethargy during transport is normal.
ā Dead on Arrival (DOA) / Damaged / Incorrect Items
All livestock are quarantined and health-checked. If there's a problem:
- Take an unboxing video immediately.
- Send photo/video proof to cs@microaquaticshop.com.au within 30 minutes of delivery.
- We offer store credit or refund. Reshipping is not available.
Late claims beyond 30 minutes may be rejected.

Unboxing video from the moment the package is opened (must show unopened bags for validation).

Photo of the dead livestock placed clearly on top of the styrofoam box for counting.

Photo of the bag label, showing the species name, quantity, and order number.

For shrimp and small fish, provide a clear photo of all contents in a container for live count.

For unhealthy or damaged items, a photo in a specimen container or tank is sufficient.

Provide a clear photo of the packing slip

Include photos of all received items showing their labels for verification

If they don't move after a few days or the water begins to smell, inspect immediately.

Please contact us on the day of arrival if you suspect a problem so we can assist under our guarantee.

Refunds cover the item cost only (excluding shipping), and are returned to the original payment method.
