The Seachem aquavitro® Intake Screen is the perfect solution for protecting shrimp, fry, and small fish from being sucked into the intake of any filter. Made from surgical-grade stainless steel, this durable and rust-resistant screen acts as a protective barrier, preventing delicate aquatic life from getting caught in high-flow filtration systems.
Its fine mesh structure allows for excellent water flow while ensuring that even the smallest shrimp and fry remain safe. Unlike standard plastic pre-filters, the stainless steel design resists biofilm buildup and is easier to clean, maintaining peak efficiency without frequent maintenance.
This intake screen is compatible with 17mm intake pipes, making it an ideal addition to canister filters, sumps, or external filtration setups. Whether you keep Neocaridina, Caridina, betta fry, or small schooling fish, this intake screen offers peace of mind, keeping your aquarium inhabitants safe while maintaining strong filtration performance.
Additionally, this screen prevents debris and plant matter from clogging your filter intake, reducing maintenance and extending the life of your filtration system. Its secure fit ensures that it stays firmly in place, even in high-flow environments. Perfect for shrimp tanks, planted aquariums, and breeder setups, the Seachem aquavitro® Intake Screen is a must-have for anyone looking to protect their aquatic life while keeping their water clean and clear.

However, the shrimp and fish you receive may be discolored and the reason of this issue is strong vibration during transportation and they're not be fed during the transport period
To handle this problem we highly recommend to you:
🚩Let the fish relax helps them adapt to any changes in water temperature in the tank. Also prevents pH shock - an imbalance between the water in the shop tank and your tank.
🚩Place the fish bag in a cool, corner, and dark place. Prevent the bag from being bumped, slipped, or dropped. This'll give your new fish a good recovery and acclimatization after a shaky ride from the shop to your home.
🚩Feed your old fish first to distract them, preventing them from bullying your new fish.
🚩Your new aquarium tank should have a pH of zero ammonia and chlorine before adding new fish.
🚩Turn off the lights, reduce the glare in the room, or limit the light entering the aquarium. This will help the new fish not be stressed.
