The Seachem Zip Bag – Medium is a durable and reusable mesh bag designed for holding filtration media in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Measuring 32 cm x 14 cm (12.5” x 5.5”), this medium-sized bag is perfect for storing up to 1 liter of various types of filtration media, providing an efficient and versatile solution for aquarium filtration needs.
One of its most notable features is the corrosion-resistant zipper, which replaces traditional string closures. This secure zipper ensures that no media can escape during use, making it ideal for long-term filtration setups. The zip closure is especially useful when dealing with small media types, such as Seachem Purigen, which require a tightly sealed container to prevent leakage.
Constructed from a fine, durable mesh, the bag allows for optimal water flow while securely containing smaller filtration materials. This makes it highly compatible with Seachem’s filtration products like Matrix, Purigen, and Carbon, as well as other fine chemical or biological media. The mesh is fine enough to hold even the smallest particles, ensuring that the filtration process remains efficient while keeping the media in place.
In addition to its high-performance filtration capacity, the bag is also designed for easy cleaning and reuse. This makes it a cost-effective and eco-friendly option, as it reduces the need for single-use media bags. Its strong construction ensures long-lasting durability, providing value for aquarium hobbyists who want a reliable and reusable solution for their media storage.
This Seachem Zip Bag – Medium is an ideal choice for any aquarist looking for a flexible, secure, and durable filtration media holder that can withstand repeated use, helping to maintain a clean and healthy aquarium environment over time.

However, the shrimp and fish you receive may be discolored and the reason of this issue is strong vibration during transportation and they're not be fed during the transport period
To handle this problem we highly recommend to you:
🚩Let the fish relax helps them adapt to any changes in water temperature in the tank. Also prevents pH shock - an imbalance between the water in the shop tank and your tank.
🚩Place the fish bag in a cool, corner, and dark place. Prevent the bag from being bumped, slipped, or dropped. This'll give your new fish a good recovery and acclimatization after a shaky ride from the shop to your home.
🚩Feed your old fish first to distract them, preventing them from bullying your new fish.
🚩Your new aquarium tank should have a pH of zero ammonia and chlorine before adding new fish.
🚩Turn off the lights, reduce the glare in the room, or limit the light entering the aquarium. This will help the new fish not be stressed.
