Tetra - Congo Yellow Tail 4-5cm
Tetra - Congo Yellow Tail
The Congo Yellow Tail Tetra (Alestopetersius caudalis) is a striking African schooling fish admired for its shimmering metallic body and vibrant yellow tail. As it swims through the aquarium, its iridescent blue and gold highlights reflect beautifully under aquarium lighting, making it an eye-catching addition to any planted community tank. Males develop more intense colours and elegant extended fins as they mature.
A peaceful and active species, Congo Yellow Tail Tetras thrive when kept in schools of 6 or more, where they display natural schooling behaviour and feel more secure. They are compatible with most peaceful community fish including rasboras, rainbowfish, Corydoras, and other non-aggressive tetras.
