Did you know there is a really tranquil Fish?

Anyone who thinks of a fish that gives serenity to the Aquarium will think of silence and living somewhere far away.

But let us enter the world of Abino Pleco, a fish that likes to swim at the bottom of the tank every day, undertake the duty of cleaning the lake, and eat all the algae and moss clinging to the lake wall.

Abino plecos are also relatively small, only about 6 inches long. As one of the catfish variations, the color is usually yellowish white and has red eyes. Although they look quite cool, their food is mainly algae, vegetables, and meat. They are fish that do not need too much space. However, they still need a lake with plenty of hiding places, such as rocks, driftwood, and plants.

When compared to other catfish cleaning glass species, Abino Pleco has the following outstanding characteristics:

  1. They are quiet fish who do not "like" to bother their "friends" in the tank.

  2. The sole distinction between Abino Pleco and other fish is that they are resilient and can survive a wide range of water conditions.

  3. They are low-maintenance and require little effort.

What is the distinction in beauty?

With its striking crimson eyes and the magnificent beauty of the Abino family, this Pleco fish will make you swoon and fall in love at first sight.

With a body clad in yellow and white, it exudes grandeur and dignity in the Aquarium.

With the trait of tranquil "love" and easy integration with other Ecosystems in the tank

With good adaption and without the necessity for an optimal water environment

Abino Pleco's utility in the aquarium?

Eat algae: Abino plecos are excellent algae eaters and can help keep your tank clean. They will eat algae from tank walls, substrates and even plants.
Scavenger: Abino plecos are also scavengers and will eat any leftovers that fall to the bottom of the tank. This can help keep your tank water clean and prevent waste buildup.

Tips to make it easy for you to care for the Abino Pleco in your aquarium:

  1. Offers plenty of hiding places: The Abino Pleco fish has a privacy-loving personality and is keen to have plenty of places to hide, such as hiding behind rocks, plants, and driftwood.

  2. Offer a varied diet: Abino plecos are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods, including algae, vegetables, and fish flakes.

  3. Water quality monitoring: although Abino plecos is easy to adapt to the water environment, that does not mean that you forget to observe water quality, and it is important to monitor water parameters regularly.

In the aquarium world, there are three types of Pleco, Do you know?

Albino Bristlenose Pleco: This is a fairly popular Pleco due to its peaceful nature and interesting appearance. With a hard coat that has a cream-colored body with pink or red eyes. The length is only about 4 inches.

Albino Clown Pleco: This pleco has a bright color. With a yellow body with black stripes. They are also relatively small, only about 5 inches long.

Albino Zebra Pleco: This pleco is a good choice for larger aquariums. These "zebras" can grow up to 12 inches long. They have a black and white striped body.

However, it all depends on the needs of you and your family to own a satisfactory Abino Pleco. Or you can quickly buy a combo of expensive "assistants", so that you don't have to think much about whether the choice is suitable or not!!!
