Creating a great home for our Red Chilli Endler guppies needs careful planning. We'll look at the key things to make their aquarium perfect. The tank size is very important. These active fish need at least 10 gallons (38 litres) to be happy. This size gives them enough space for aquarium maintenance and to act naturally. Keeping the water right is also crucial. Endlers like slightly acidic water, with a pH of 6.8 to 7.6, and a temperature of 72°F to 82°F (22°C to 28°C). A good filter is essential for clean, oxygen-rich water.
Red Chilli Endlers love a planted aquarium. Aquarium plants not only look good but also offer cover and places to breed. Good plants include Java Moss, Cryptocoryne, and Anubias.
Aquarium Parameter | Recommended Range |
pH | 6.8 - 7.6 |
Temperature | 72°F - 82°F (22°C - 28°C) |
Filtration | Efficient hang-on-back or canister filter |
Water Changes | 25-30% weekly |
By focusing on these important points, we can make an aquarium that highlights the beauty of our Red Chilli Endlers. With the right setup, these hardy fish will flourish and show off their stunning colours.
We know how crucial it is to feed our Red Chilli Endler guppies right. These colourful fish need the right food to stay healthy and vibrant in their tank.
For a healthy diet, Red Chilli Endlers need a mix of high-quality fish flakes, granules, and pellets. These foods give them the proteins, fats, and carbs they need to grow well. It's also good to add live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. These foods are full of nutrients and make their meals more interesting. They also satisfy their natural hunting instincts.
To make your Red Chilli Endlers' colours even more vibrant, try adding special supplements. Foods or powders with spirulina can deepen their red and orange colours. Carotenoids from shredded carrots or Daphnia can also boost their pigmentation. By giving them a balanced diet and sticking to a regular feeding schedule, you'll enjoy a fulfilling fish keeping experience with these stunning aquarium fish.
Red Chilli Endlers are live-bearing fish that are both captivating and fascinating. They thrive in the right aquarium conditions. With care and attention, we can successfully breed them. To breed Red Chilli Endlers, optimize their environment. Keep the temperature between 22-28°C and the pH between 6.8 and 7.8. Make sure there are plenty of hiding spots and plants, as males can be territorial during courtship.Determining the sex of these fish is easy. Males have colourful, fan-like dorsal fins. Keeping our Endler's Guppies, or "Red Chilli," healthy is our main goal. We need to know about common health problems and how to prevent and treat them. This is essential for taking good care of our aquarium and fish.
Endler's Guppies can get sick like any other fish. They might get fin rot, white spot disease (Ich), or bacterial infections. Spotting early signs like being tired, not eating, or color changes helps us act fast.
If our fish get sick, we need to act quickly. Treatment might include medicine, changing the water, or keeping sick fish separate. If it's serious or we're not sure what to do, seeing a vet for fish is best.
Health Issue | Symptoms | Treatment Approach |
Fin Rot | Ragged, discolored fins, loss of fin tissue | Anti-bacterial medication, water quality improvement |
White Spot Disease (Ich) | White spots on the body, increased respiration | Ich-specific medication, raised temperature |
Bacterial Infection | Lethargy, loss of appetite, cloudy eyes | Broad-spectrum anti-bacterial treatment, water quality management |
By watching closely, taking steps to prevent sickness, and knowing how to treat it, we can keep our Endler's Guppies healthy. They will stay happy and thrive in our aquariums.

However, the shrimp and fish you receive may be discolored and the reason of this issue is strong vibration during transportation and they're not be fed during the transport period
To handle this problem we highly recommend to you:
🚩Let the fish relax helps them adapt to any changes in water temperature in the tank. Also prevents pH shock - an imbalance between the water in the shop tank and your tank.
🚩Place the fish bag in a cool, corner, and dark place. Prevent the bag from being bumped, slipped, or dropped. This'll give your new fish a good recovery and acclimatization after a shaky ride from the shop to your home.
🚩Feed your old fish first to distract them, preventing them from bullying your new fish.
🚩Your new aquarium tank should have a pH of zero ammonia and chlorine before adding new fish.
🚩Turn off the lights, reduce the glare in the room, or limit the light entering the aquarium. This will help the new fish not be stressed.
